The Town of Silverton

Author: Andrew /

Greetings all!

Here's the info for next session:

This session will be entirely player driven. You have reached the town of Silverton, entered the tavern, listened to a young man named Gregory lament his current predicament. In order to prove his prowess as a young man to the father of the woman he loves, he must win the King's Purse at the tournament to be held at the capital of Jorath's March, Jorath's Hold. The young man is adventurous and excited to take on the challenge but needs training. He also needs supplies and provisions, as does anyone else who will be participating in the tournament.

The town is open to you and you may explore at your leisure. I will facilitate as needed. This session will be free form and player driven, meaning that any movement in the session will be determined by ideas you all come up with. How he trains will be up to you, how you get supplies will be up to you, as will everything else.

I hope this will be interesting and fun and I'm excited to see where things go. =] Glad to be back.

sounds like fun, hopefully we'll be able to be on the same page regarding how we want to deal with the issue. I think Tataki and Tamago will likely want to train him, but may enter the tourney anyway.

Houseki may enter the tourny. he already made his thoughts on the topic pretty clear, I think. if it wasn't clear enough, lemme know. (long story short: he does not want to get involved in something for 0 gain.)

It's understood that he doesn't want to get into something for no gain, but it would help if he had more reason than "I just do." As it stands, he just sounds like a grudging person who won't help someone in need. Either way, to a point, it's ok to metagame if it's in order to further the fun aspect with the group. If the group decides to do one thing and you decide to do another, then that can make things very difficult. Just be aware of that.

I am aware of that. and lots of times, peoples choices really do just boil down to "I just do" or "I just don't" etc. Houseki is supposed to be practical. risking injury and other things so that some drunk kid in a tavern can win a fortune and the girl of his dreams while having no return in sight from all the effort that would be given doesn't make sense to him.

If I have to, i'll metagame him. but i'd rather not.

I think this will be interesting. Not sure if Arein would enter the tourney or not at this point but we will see. Also, I will be around 15 mins late or so. I work until 9:30 my time which is the time we start. I'll be home and online as soon as I can after work. But I have the next two days off so can go to whenever tonight.
